Lauren Kiefer
Lauren Kiefer was a bright young and beautiful young lady who graduated from Willowbrook High School. She later studied at Columbia College in Chicago earning a journalist degree.

On December 25, 2006 Lauren Kiefer was taken from us.  She was 24 years old. Lauren left behind a family and friends who miss her greatly and continue to remember her with a  Memorial Foundation supporting children and families in need.

The 5K Race and Walk was first held at Willowbrook High School in 2007. Each year hundreds of people either run or walk the race on the streets of Villa Park ending at Willowbrook High School.

Current students of Willowbrook attend the race with a number of cross country athletes as well as coaches and teachers.

The community also participates with some running alone, some with friends or family and some who walk the route.
The foundation awards scholarships to several Willowbrook students in honor of Lauren.

We had the honor of being not only friends with Lauren but also working with Lauren on projects while she attended high school, college and after she graduated.

We miss her.
